The Green Edit.

Oh for the love of color Green. This week in my studies of the Fundamentals of Design course, we are are studying the basics of color theory. It is so interesting in how each color conjures up emotion. Green for me personally reminds of Spring, comfort and renewal. It’s so energizing and inspiring. So, I thought it would be fun as a little side study to create a color storyboard and also share some things currently that design-ly inspire me. * I will be going counter clockwise.

Dress: Boden’s Amy Tie Belt Long Sleeve Cotton Shirtdress with Green Diamond Print. This dress so gives me late 1960’s vibes of going to lunch with the ladies at the Country Club and then heading to the grocery market afterwards.

Notebook: Smythson “The Boss” Wafer Notebook in Bright Emerald. Perfect place to hand write your grocery list.

Pen: Hightides 1970’s-style ballpoint pen in green with a little splash of orange on it’s click top from Hungarian Brand ICO.

Rotary Phone: I dream of the day of having a phone nook in my kitchen where a landline exists. This rare find in lime green is from Etsy.

Nail: Gucci Vernis à Ongles Nail Polish in Melinda Green. I currently am trying new colors myself. This month I went with a grass green polish on my nails and toes.

Earrings: Machete Kate Hoops in Bright Green. crafted in Italian Acetate. Oh and they are on Sale.

Deo: Citrusy Green smelling natural deodorant from one of my favorite brands Megababe. I love their Thigh Rescue Anti-Friction Stick . Perfect for preventing chafe in hot humid climates like down here in Texas.

Necklace: My Baublebar Rochelle big beaded necklace in Grass green. Unfortunately it ‘s not available anymore.

Shoes: Frances Valentine’s Jude Mary Jane Flat in Green of course. These are classic and come in myriad of colors.

Bow: Boden’s Grosgrain Hair Bow in Veridian Green. It’s a new lady-like trend I approve of completely.

Multifunctional Piece: French Presse Verre Tête handblown green face cup that can be used as a vase, pencil holder or even a delightfully unique way to serve a cocktail.

Handbag: Anthropologie’s Maeve Brand Tate Beaded Handbag in Green. This has caught my since it was put on the shelves of my local store.

Lamp: Moma’s Flowerpot VP9 LED Portable Lamp in Signal Green. I have been looking for a portable lamp for my studies in and around the house. I love this 1968 Verner Panton updated cordless design.
